Just by driving your car, you generate enough heat for the water to evaporate from anything in the engine bay. 2.90 each 2.90 Subtotal 2. The worst incident I had was from getting coils wet and the car not starting. I have never hurt anything from using a pressure washer. I normally spray it all over the engine bay, drive to the car wash, wand over the whole engine, and just like that, it's really close to being completely clean! Head back home and spot clean whatever was missed or needs more attention. The stuff works really well cutting through the grime and dirt. I rinsed and rinsed that area with the hose and vacuumed it dry only to discover that the carpet looked BRAND NEW!!! All that elbow grease prior, for nothing! WELL, the whole bottle got smashed from putting the seats down and flooded that spot. Mind you - I just got the explorer and I had detailed it the best I could except for what looked like a large coffee or coke spill in the back seat that wouldn't come out. ![]() Loaded something into the back and put the seats down, started driving home and I started smelling the cleaner. I got a bottle for Christmas a few years back and left it in the back of my explorer. It does etch glass if you left it to dry, but common sense says - Don't spray it on your windows. You may think I'm crazy but it works well. My go to for any cleaning, including carpet, is Black Magic Bleche Wite tire cleaner - Formerly known as Westley's Bleche Wite. I have detailed many engine bays - more on the side of standard cars than show cars.īut this method could really help turning something normal into "show" quality. ![]()
